Job Description
Our client, a well-respected national law firm, has a newly created position for a Risk Management Administrator. Primary responsibilities include managing and overseeing Conflicts, New Business and Calendaring departments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing processes and procedures for the three departments; work closely with attorneys in the firm in identifying litigation matters posing potential exposure to the firm; supervising staff for the departments; analyzing issues and matters that arise; preparing monthly status reports; developing new and streamlined ways to assess, review, and clear conflicts of interest effectively and efficiently; conferring with the firm's attorneys, as needed, to resolve issues, and provide advice in connection with the resolution of potential conflicts; working closely with the firm's Practice Group Leaders; preparing budgets and making recommendations to the firm's Management Committee; conducting and directing department meetings; performing training and leadership to department staff.
Requirements
Ideal candidate should have 5+ years of conflicts, new business and/or calendaring management experience in a law firm environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Rainmaker, CompuLaw and other business-related software; JD preferred, but would consider work experience; demonstrated expertise with automated conflict checking systems and technological experience in using the Internet and research services for the purpose of performing business and legal research.
